Role Summary
The Mid-Level QA Engineer – Front End will be responsible for validating the quality, functionality, and usability of Angular-based web applications. This role focuses on hands-on functional and UI testing, collaboration with developers and UX teams, and ensuring reliable releases in an Agile delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
Front-End & UI Testing
- Test Angular-based web applications for functionality, usability, and UI consistency.
- Validate UI components, workflows, and responsive behavior across browsers and devices.
- Ensure implementation aligns with UI/UX designs, wireframes, and acceptance criteria.
Test Design & Execution
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on user stories.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Integration & API Validation
- Validate front-end interactions with backend services via REST APIs.
- Verify data flow, error handling, and edge cases in UI interactions.
- Perform basic API testing to support end-to-end coverage.
Agile Collaboration
- Actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Angular developers, backend teams, and UX designers throughout the sprint.
- Support UAT cycles and release readiness activities.
Required Skills & Experience
Testing & Technical Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in QA / Software Testing.
- Hands-on experience testing front-end web applications, preferably Angular.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application behavior.
- Experience testing Angular Material components and UI workflows.
- Familiarity with cross-browser and responsive testing.
- Experience validating REST APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.
UI / UX Awareness
- Strong attention to detail for layout, spacing, and visual consistency.
- Understanding of modern, clean, and minimalistic UI standards.
- Awareness of usability and accessibility best practices.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication and collaboration abilities.
- Comfortable working in Agile / Scrum environments.
- Ability to work effectively with offshore teams and US stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Experience testing applications integrated with .NET / C# backend services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test execution within builds.
- Basic knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG).
