.NET / C# Developer (Mid-Level), Hands-on Individual Contributor

Role Summary

The Mid-Level .NET / C# Developer will design, develop, and support backend services and APIs using .NET and C#. This role focuses on hands-on development, collaboration with front-end (Angular), data, and QA teams, and delivering reliable, scalable backend solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Develop and maintain .NET / C# backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Implement business logic, validations, and integrations with front-end applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

Integration & Data Access

• Integrate backend services with Angular-based front-end applications.
• Work with relational databases (SQL Server or similar) to implement data access layers.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and transactions as needed.

Quality & Reliability

• Implement proper exception handling, logging, and error management.
• Support QA during functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Assist in troubleshooting defects and production issues.

Agile Collaboration

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with senior developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Work closely with product and business stakeholders to clarify requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical

• 3–5 years of experience in backend development using .NET and C#.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases.
• Understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and standard development workflows.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Integration & Architecture

• Experience integrating backend services with front-end frameworks (Angular preferred).
• Understanding of layered architecture and service-oriented design.
• Familiarity with basic performance tuning and scalability concepts.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear communication and collaboration abilities.
• Comfortable working in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Ability to work effectively with offshore teams and US stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn and grow under technical guidance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with basic DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts.
• Exposure to messaging or event-driven systems.
• Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments.
