Job Description:
As Technical M&A Platform Manager, the person in this role will support all technical aspects of M&A Systems implementations and programmes. This role will have accountability for reviewing technical solutions and vendor impact assessments proposed by vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- M&A Strategy Integration:
Collaborate with IT leadership to understand the company’s M&A strategy and objectives.
Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to integrate EVO solutions into newly acquired entities.
- Product Management:
Oversee the entire technical aspects, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
Provide expertise on SAP integration and ABAP programming.
- Project Leadership:
Lead and manage end-to-end technical aspects of M&A projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, FIN, SCM and HR, to drive project success.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and concerns related to technical aspects.
Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, challenges, and successes.
- Change Management:
Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure a smooth transition during M&A activities.
Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users.
- Vendor Management:
Work closely with SAP vendors to stay informed about updates, enhancements, and new features.
Evaluate and recommend additional IT solutions that align with the company’s evolving needs.
Expectations:
We are looking for a trusted and motivated IT Technical Product manager who can effectively develop and deliver the Portfolio vision, consulting the business and is passionate for innovation.
The candidate will:
- have deep technical, hands-on knowledge of SAP integration development using SAP PI including use of ABAP proxies IDOC’s and RFCs. Experience in designing a PI solution based on a functional requirement.
- have experience working on SOAP and REST APIs
- have good understanding of cloud solutions and new technologies.
- have a understanding of SAP functional areas.
- Have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience.
- deliver projects and initiatives in an agile/SAFe manner – driving a product backlog with business alignment, so that we ensure delivery across matrix teams and challenge vendors to address our priorities.
- serve as the key technology’s point of contact to ensure effective support, advice and expertise on the design and best practice to exploit value from the product(s) the individual leads.
- produce and review end to end architecture for Mergers, acquisition, divestiture, and Joint ventures.
- lead a team of internal and external suppliers to deliver complex M&A projects.
- ensure compliancy with security, architecture, privacy/GDPR, SOX and audit controls.
Key accountabilities:
- They will assist and advise on the target architecture vision, evaluating and supporting the prioritisation of business requirements, translating them into designs, principles, changes, and non-functional requirements.
- Represent Technical IT towards Business functions, System Integrators, M&A Projects, and current Live Markets solutions
- Manage the cross Functional requirements impacting EVO, touchpoints with other EVO and local market systems
- Review and approval of Global and Local Technical enhancement and improvements, including further integrations & data migration approach
- Responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art reusable solutions, implement new technologies to drive global scalability, revenues and cost efficiencies throughout Vodafone Group
- Key contributor for the innovation of IT systems
- Represent Technical cross functions team for everything related to M&A
- Manage the cross Functional review of requirements covering all technical aspects
- Manage the validation process for functional requirements from a technical perspective
- Review and approval of Global/Local Technical Enterprise Architecture, including further integrations & Data Migration approach
General skills, knowledge and experience:
Essential
- Deep knowledge of SAP PI / PO / CPI / APIs
- Knowledge of ABAP proxies, Idocs, RFCs
- Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements.
- Understanding of integration architecture and patterns including BTP technologies
- Experience in managing a sophisticated customer environment, where Tools and Automation are key to enable the continuous transformation/evolution of the organization and the constant tension to efficiency.
- Capability in managing technical aspects of large projects.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills

- Understanding of Agile (SAFe ) and Waterfall project management methodologies
