Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for a Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into clear functional requirements for development and QA teams.

Prior experience with Restaurant POS systems and knowledge of restaurant operations will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Translate business requirements into clear and detailed functional specifications.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA, UI/UX, and other stakeholders.
• Create process flows, business workflows, use cases, and functional diagrams.
• Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and product demos.
• Clarify functional requirements and resolve queries raised by development and QA teams.
• Analyze change requests and assess their impact on existing functionality.
• Support QA teams in preparing test scenarios and validating business requirements.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business users.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Maintain proper documentation of requirements, workflows, and product features.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Product Analyst.
• Strong understanding of requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with software development and QA teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and document complex business processes.
• Good working knowledge of Jira.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and databases is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Restaurant POS Experience – Added Advantage

Candidates with prior experience in Restaurant POS systems will be preferred.

• Restaurant POS billing and checkout processes
• Table and floor management
• Dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders
• Kitchen Order Ticket and kitchen management
• Menu and item management
• Modifiers, add-ons, and variants
• Discounts, offers, coupons, and promotions
• Cash, card, UPI, and other payment methods
• Split bills and multiple payment methods
• Refunds and cancellations
• Customer management and loyalty
• Inventory and stock management
• Day-end / shift-end sales reports
• Sales, tax, and financial reports
• Multi-outlet / multi-terminal POS operations
• Integration with payment terminals, kitchen printers, receipt printers, and other peripherals

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant Business Analysis / Product Management certification is an added advantage.
