AI Engineer 

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical AI Engineer specializing in LLM Customization and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to join our core AI product team. This role is a unique hybrid designed for freshers and early-career professionals, blending deep technical AI implementation with product-driven research. As a trainee, you will bridge the gap between academic theory and production-grade Generative AI, helping to build, evaluate, and scale next-generation AI systems while staying on top of market trends and emerging automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in designing, implementing, and optimizing RAG pipelines, focusing on data ingestion, semantic chunking, embedding generation, retrieval, and re-ranking.
• Support the customization and fine-tuning of open-source LLMs (e.g., LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon) utilizing parameter-efficient techniques such as LoRA, QLoRA, and adapters.
• Help build and maintain evaluation frameworks to rigorously track LLM performance metrics, including accuracy, relevance, latency, cost, and hallucination rates.
• Coordinate the integration of LLMs with both structured and unstructured enterprise data sources, including vector databases.
• Conduct technical research on the AI ecosystem—specifically Agentic AI, conversational systems, and emerging APIs—to identify and document product innovation opportunities.
• Translate research findings into actionable product strategies, organizing data cleanly in tools like Notion or Google Sheets, and communicating insights effectively across engineering and product teams.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong foundational Python programming skills with a clean understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Academic, internship, or personal project experience with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or Hugging Face.
• Conceptual understanding or basic hands-on familiarity with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma).
• Basic exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and hands on experience with RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in organizing research and technical documentation using Notion, Google Sheets, or Airtable.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical, data-driven research, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Clear, concise written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Intense curiosity about AI product innovation, automation, and a strong willingness to learn complex architectures.

Educational Qualifications & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Systems, Data Analytics, or a highly quantitative field.
• Fresh graduates, interns, or early-career professionals with 0 to 1 year of relevant project/internship experience are encouraged to apply.
• A portfolio of GitHub repositories, technical blogs, or hackathon projects demonstrating hands-on experimentation with LLMs is a major plus.
