.NET / C# Lead Developer [Hands-on + Technical Oversight]

Role Summary

The .NET / C# Lead Developer will lead the design and development of scalable backend services and APIs using .NET and C#. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, guiding developers, collaborating with front-end (Angular), data, and QA teams, and ensuring secure, high-quality backend delivery in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead backend architecture and design using .NET / C#.
• Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor backend developers.
• Make technical decisions around performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Backend Development & Integration

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET and C#.
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performance services.
• Integrate backend services with front-end applications (Angular) and data platforms.
• Collaborate on API contracts, data models, and error-handling strategies.

Data & Persistence

• Work with relational databases (SQL Server or similar).
• Optimize queries, transactions, and data access layers.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance.

Security, Quality & Reliability

• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
• Ensure proper exception handling, logging, and monitoring.
• Support QA during system testing, UAT, and production issue resolution.

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and front-end teams.
• Coordinate with US-based technical and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical

• 7+ years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in .NET and C#.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with SQL Server and relational database design.
• Understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Architecture & Integration

• Experience designing scalable, service-oriented or microservices-based systems.
• Ability to integrate backend services with front-end (Angular) and third-party systems.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and performance tuning.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working with offshore teams and US stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
